Behind the Song

Picture this: It’s a warm summer evening and you’re sitting on a porch, in a rocking chair next to Jesus, enjoying a cold glass of lemonade while your life replays like a movie before your eyes.That was where I pictured myself while writing this short & sweet outro to my EP, Prologue.

I’m quite certain, in that scenario, I would laugh at the times I thought I knew better than God, cry with gratitude at all the times He proved Himself faithful, grieve over time spent doubting Him, rejoice when in my weakness He was strong, and praise Him for His goodness and mercy that followed quickly behind — all the days of my life.

Growing old with God, has proven to be the reward of a lifetime. Sure is a funny feeling when you finally come around to believing that.
