Behind the Song

I wrote this song as I pondered the wonder it is to share in God’s glory.

Glory is defined as high renown, honor, magnificence and “to glory,” is to take pride or great pleasure in something or someone.

Many go all of life believing there is much glory to be celebrated in oneself and society sells that narrative.

The longer I live, and the more I know God, however, the more I see what a vain pursuit and false presentation that would be. He is all light & in a Him is no darkness. I have no light apart from Him.

While on my own, I am empty and without, Christ has looked down, had mercy & brought me into His marvelous light! To be united with Him is to share in & reflect His glory!

As 1 Corinthians 1:31 says,

“Let the one who glories, glory in the Lord.”
